Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are the co-hosts of ‘GMA3: What You Need To Know’ along with Jennifer Ashton. Amy and Jennifer began the daytime ‘GMA’ spin-off amidst the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, with T.J. joining them that September. Before that, Amy had been a correspondent on ‘GMA’ before becoming co-anchor in 2014. T.J. also joined the show in 2014 alongside Amy.
Amy and T.J.’s on-screen chemistry had been long apparent to viewers. In Nov. 2022, photos surfaced of them looking quite cozy on various occasions in New York City off-screen, too. That same day, it was reported that the two had been separated from their respective spouses for months (both journalists got married in 2010). After two days on-air together following the news breaking, they were pulled from the show due to brimming controversy — ultimately departing the show for good on Jan. 27, 2023.
“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, about different options, we all agreed it’s best for everyone that they move on from ABC News,” the news division said to HollywoodLife in an emailed statement. “We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions.”
